I’m just going to get straight to it… YOU HAVE TO DO THE CRYSTAL MAZE LIVE EXPERIENCE🔮
Growing up there were loads of amazing gameshows on TV from Gladiators to Blind Date to Dale’s Supermarket Sweep. One of the best shows though had to have been The Crystal Maze so when my friends and I saw that you could actually play it, we knew this was something we had to do. It was my friends birthday at the end of March so we booked it for then!
They have two different locations London and Manchester, we booked Manchester as it was closer to us. Ah it’s so good, you’re literally taken back to your childhood and the games that you wished you could play are right in front of you.
The concept is pretty much identical to the gameshow so you have timed challenges which you have to complete in order to win crystals. The place is MASSIVE – it has to be for you to get a real-life experience. It’s divided into four different sections so medieval, futuristic, aztec and industrial. The games are similar to the show so you have physical, mental, skill and mystery. You have a games-master who guides you through the maze and gives you little tips along the way. Ours was great and so animated! He didn’t break character once, no matter how bad we were at certain games😂
I can’t really say much more without giving it away but honestly it’s so much fun to do with a group of friends and something different! It’s great for birthdays, hen-do’s, stags, work outing and even just something fun with your mates.
We paid £170 for 5 of us which works out to £34 each. It’s easy to find in Manchester and depending on what time you book for, there is parking on the street.
The only negative I have is that you don’t get anything at the end of it all. Of course I don’t mean money like in the show but maybe a keyring, team picture or some sort of memento would be nice to remember the day with.
You can’t take your phone in with you so I don’t have many pics but that would spoil it for everyone anyway so watch the official trailer below, book it and go and experience the Crystal Maze for yourself.
